Leiothrix propinqua adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Leiothrix propinqua pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich August Körnicke pada tahun 1903.
