Leiothrix schlechtendalii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Bahia: Chapada Diamantina). Nama ilmiah Leiothrix schlechtendalii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich August Körnicke pada tahun 1903.
