Leiothrix vivipara merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Leiothrix vivipara pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Gustav Heinrich von Bongard pada tahun 1903.
