Lemna trisulca merupakan tumbuhan tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan) yang hidup semusim. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di hampir seluruh dunia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan star duckweed. Nama ilmiah Lemna trisulca diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
