Lepanthes purpurea merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kosta Rika. Nama ilmiah Lepanthes purpurea diperkenalkan oleh Carlyle A. Luer pada tahun 1995.
