Lepidaploa cotoneaster merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Guyana, Brazil (Bahia, Minas Gerais, São Paulo). Nama ilmiah Lepidaploa cotoneaster pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1990.
