Leptochloa asthenes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Australia timur. Nama ilmiah Leptochloa asthenes diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Jacob Roemer pada tahun 1941.
