Leptochloa exilis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Pernambuco hingga Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Leptochloa exilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Stephen Andrew Renvoize pada tahun 2015.
