Leptoderris brachyptera merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini merupakan perdu atau liana yaitu memanjat batang pohon tumbuhan lain untuk mendapatkan sinar matahari dengan akar tetap berada di tanah. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Leptoderris brachyptera diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1910.
