Lepturus calcareus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Socotra. Nama ilmiah Lepturus calcareus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Arthur Cope pada tahun 1992.
