Lepuropetalon spathulatum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan tenggara hingga Meksiko timur laut, Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) hingga Argentina (Entre Ríos), Chili tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Lepuropetalon spathulatum diperkenalkan oleh Stephen Elliott pada tahun 1817.
