Lespedeza stuevei merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tall lespedeza. Nama ilmiah Lespedeza stuevei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1818.
