Lespedeza thunbergii subsp. patens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (utara dan Honshu tengah). Nama ilmiah Lespedeza thunbergii subsp. patens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Takenoshin Nakai pada tahun 2001.
