Lessertia dykei merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Free State (Afsel) tenggara (Mont-aux-Sources). Nama ilmiah Lessertia dykei diperkenalkan oleh Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus (née Kensit) pada tahun 1915.
