Leucaena esculenta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan guaje. Nama ilmiah Leucaena esculenta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis José Mariano Mociño pada tahun 1875.
