Leucas bracteosa merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur. Nama ilmiah Leucas bracteosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Louis August Maximilian Gürke pada tahun 1895.
