Leucas candida merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India timur dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Leucas candida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Haselfoot Haines pada tahun 1922.
