Leycesteria formosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Caprifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pakistan timur laut hingga China bagian selatan-tengah dan Myanmar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan himalayan honeysuckle. Nama ilmiah Leycesteria formosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1824.
