Liatris pauciflora merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Georgia hingga Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan fewflower blazing star. Nama ilmiah Liatris pauciflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frederick Traugott Pursh pada tahun 1813.
