Liatris tenuis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Louisiana hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan gulf blazing star. Nama ilmiah Liatris tenuis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lloyd Herbert Shinners pada tahun 1959.
