Licaria mexicana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Hidalgo, Veracruz). Nama ilmiah Licaria mexicana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1937.
