Ligustrum ibota merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Oleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Korea, Jepang tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Ligustrum ibota diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Philipp Franz von Siebold pada tahun 1846.
