Linum africanum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Linaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Linum africanum diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
