Linum australe adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Linaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian barat-tengah hingga Meksiko barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan southern flax. Nama ilmiah Linum australe pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Amos Arthur Heller pada tahun 1898.
