Lipochaeta lavarum var. hillebrandiana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Maui). Nama ilmiah Lipochaeta lavarum var. hillebrandiana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Earl Edward Sherff pada tahun 1933.
