Lithocarpus areca merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Vietnam timur laut. Nama ilmiah Lithocarpus areca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Robert Hickel pada tahun 1931.
