Litsea hypophaea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Taiwan. Nama ilmiah Litsea hypophaea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bunzō Hayata pada tahun 1915.
