Litsea ligustrina merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pakistan timur laut, India barat daya, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh hingga Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Litsea ligustrina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1880.
