Lonchitis occidentalis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lonchitidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari kawasan tropis Afrika, Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Lonchitis occidentalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1867.
