Lonchocarpus nitidus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil selatan hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Lonchocarpus nitidus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Julius Rudolph Theodor Vogel pada tahun 1860.
