Lophostemon suaveolens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Papua hingga Australia Timur. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama bus merah atau peër (Papua). Nama ilmiah Lophostemon suaveolens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Daniel Solander pada tahun 1982.
