Loropetalum subcordatum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Hamamelidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (Guangxi barat daya hingga Guizhou). Nama ilmiah Loropetalum subcordatum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Daniel Oliver pada tahun 1883.
