Lotus tenellus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Kepulauan Kanaria. Nama ilmiah Lotus tenellus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Richard Thomas Lowe pada tahun 2006.
