COMMON RUSSET GRASS Loudetiasimplex (Nees) C.E.Hubb.
Loudetia simplex adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan, Madagaskar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan common russet grass. Nama ilmiah Loudetia simplex diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1934.
