Lupinus appositus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Peru. Nama ilmiah Lupinus appositus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Piper Smith pada tahun 1940.
