Lupinus chihuahuensis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chihuahuan lupine. Nama ilmiah Lupinus chihuahuensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1886.
