Lupinus holosericeus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan holo lupine. Nama ilmiah Lupinus holosericeus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1840.
