Lupinus jonesii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Utah selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan jones' lupine. Nama ilmiah Lupinus jonesii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1903.
