Lupinus roseolus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Wyoming. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan rosy lupine. Nama ilmiah Lupinus roseolus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1907.
