Luzula gigantea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela barat laut hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Luzula gigantea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nicaise Auguste Desvaux pada tahun 1808.
