Lycium sandwicense adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nansei-shoto (Minamidaito) hingga Pasifik dan Kepulauan Juan Fernández. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan hawai'i desert-thorn. Nama ilmiah Lycium sandwicense pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1862.
