Lycopodium magellanicum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Lycopodiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rep. Dominika, Kosta Rika, barat dan Amerika Selatan bagian selatan hingga Venezuela barat laut, Kepulauan Subantarctric. Nama ilmiah Lycopodium magellanicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ambroise Marie François Joseph Palisot de Beauvois pada tahun 1806.
