Lycopus amplectens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan clasping water horehound. Nama ilmiah Lycopus amplectens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Constantine Samuel Rafinesque pada tahun 1840.
