Lycopus virginicus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan virginia water horehound. Nama ilmiah Lycopus virginicus diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
