Lyperia violacea merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Scrophulariaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Lyperia violacea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1836.
