Lythrum rotundifolium merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Malawi. Nama ilmiah Lythrum rotundifolium diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1848.
