Machilus glaucescens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari anak benua India hingga China (Yunnan barat) dan Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Machilus glaucescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1852.
