Machilus velutinus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China selatan hingga Indo-China utara. Nama ilmiah Machilus velutinus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John George Champion pada tahun 1853.
