Macrolobium pendulum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Guianas hingga Brazil utara dan timur laut. Nama ilmiah Macrolobium pendulum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1837.
