Macrosamanea discolor var. arenicola merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela selatan hingga Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Macrosamanea discolor var. arenicola pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Richard Sumner Cowan pada tahun 1996.
